Oh this is nit-picky but the decal logos on the fat cat could be of better quality. Yes, the Aero Crossbar SmarT-Slot Kit 2 for Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carriers Y03098 will work with Yakima HD Crossbars Aero Crossbars Y01157 and the Yakima FatCat EVO4 Y03095. I was actually going to get the Thule ones but price and looks brought me back to Yakima.

I have a buddy that has the Thule equivalent universal pulltop and I prefer the looks and build quality of the fat cat. I do wish there was a little bit more spring up action like with the powderhound when you open them up. After driving around this whole Thanksgiving weekend with the rack installed, there's no wind noise at all!Ī couple things that are a bit annoying that I've noticed thus far is that it already gets hard to close when you have 3 snowboards loaded into it though it's not terribly noticeable. I'm hoping to get some good drive time with some skis/snowboards in the rack this weekend towards Northstar so I can report back on wind noise. There is an extra couple of inches to play with if you move the rail to the new setting on the 2013's.

I'm not too tall so the binding stance width isn't a real issue with me. Had the whole set installed in about 1/2 an hour. The stock mounting system worked just fine.
